Maynard has 45 years experience as an Architect and is a Principal of the firm. Before joining Long & Associates 20 years ago, Maynard was a Principal and lead Architect for many years with The Design Arts Group, Inc., in Tampa. During that time, Long & Associates provided continuing engineering services on many of their projects, including numerous University projects. When Maynard joined our organization, Long & Associates became a full-service, Architectural and Engineering firm. Maynard specializes in educational and medical facilities. Some of Maynard's most recent projects as Principal-in-Charge have included the Hillsborough Community College, Dental Clinic & Labs, Tampa, FL; Bay Pines VA Medical Center, MICU Renovation, St. Petersburg, FL; Charlotte County Health Facility in Port Charlotte, FL and the Pondella Health Facility in Ft. Myers, FL. He has designed projects in 13 states, Panama Canal Zone and Bermumuda. Maynard attended Bay City Junior College and Michigan State University. He received a degree in Architectural Engineering, received a degree in Architectural Engineering from Michigan State University in 1961 and sat for his pre-exam. He became a Registered Professional Architect in Michigan State in 1964 and in 1970 in Florida. He became a Registered Professional Interior Designer in 1997. He is a member of the (AIA) American Institute of Architects as well as Florida Society of American Institute of Architects and NCARB. He is a member of the Army Engineer Association the (SAME) Society of American Military Engineers. Maynard and his wife Kim, reside in northern Hillsborough County.
