Renovation Projects

Oldsmar Public Library Restoration - Oldsmar, Florida

The Oldsmar Public Library is listed on the National Historic Registry and is one of the oldest buildings in the State of Florida and among seven statewide built with this particular glazed brick exterior. The entire front wall was taken down brick by brick, the foundation removed and replaced and the brick cleaned and reassembled. The finished product is a duplicate of the original. All of this work was completed with the building fully occupied.

College of Health & Human Performance/Florida Gymnasium - University of Florida - Gainesville

This 140,000 sq. ft. building, built in 1949, was converted from athletic use to academic and research use. The renovation includes teaching labs, research labs, academic offices, multi-media lecture halls and classrooms. A special feature of the project required the conversion of the existing interior fixed stadium seating into six multimedia lecture halls and a revised main entry maintaining the historical character.

Orange Grove Magnet Middle School - Tampa, Florida

The premise of this project was to expand an existing, two-story elementary school, built in 1926, into a Magnet Middle School. This U-shaped, Spanish revival style school specializes in the Performing Arts with the intention of attracting students from the entire county. Based loosely on the concept of mirroring the existing U-shaped form, the new and existing buildings form a large courtyard, and harmoniously complete the campus. Three great Heritage Oak trees fill the courtyard. This facility has helped establish a pride of ownership for surrounding community and has garnered four awards for its design sensitivity and excellence.
