Long & Associates provided architecture and structural engineering design services for a 6-level stair tower for firefighter training activities at the Hillsborough County Public Safety and Operations Complex. The tower is constructed of unpainted galvanized steel with open grate flooring/stair treads and open picket guardrails. Lighting protection and grounding was provided. Structural anchors at level 6 were included for repel practice. The design accounts for a future facade wall with openings to be added for firefighter building entrance/exit practice.
